Assignments & Work Relationships – Visibility Rules During Transfers
When transferring an employee to a different permanent legal employer—either through a Global Transfer or Global Temporary Assignment—you can choose which data elements to copy from the worker’s source assignment to the destination assignment.
By default, the transfer process prepopulates the destination assignment with data from the source assignment as of the transfer effective date. You can override these values where allowed.
| Section / Component | Visible by Default? | Visibility Condition | Transfer Within Same LDG | Transfer to Different LDG (Same Legislation) | Transfer to Different Legislation | Notes |
| Assignment & Work Relationship (nonflexfield attributes + DFFs) | Yes | Always visible | Copied by default | Copied by default | Copied by default | Flow copies all assignment & work relationship info (non-flexfield + DFFs) effective on the transfer date. You can change values during the transaction. You may select or override source assignment status for global transfer / temporary assignment. See Overview of Flexfields in Help Center. |
| Assignment & Work Relationship (developer descriptive flexfields – DDFs) | Yes | Always visible | Copied by default | Copied by default | Not copied by default | Flow copies all DDFs except in cross-legislation transfers where DDFs are notcopied. See Overview of Flexfields in Help Center. |
| Assignment (extensible flexfield contexts – EFF) | No | Enabled via HCM Experience Design Studio | Copied by default | Copied by default | Copied by default | Flow copies all EFF contexts by default. You can exclude individual contexts. Smart LOV shows only contexts with data in the source assignment. Feature applies to global transfers only. Note: EFF context list doesn’t refresh when legal employer or transfer type (global vs temp) changes. |
| Work Relationship (V1 Seniority Dates) | No | Only V1 seniority dates included | Copied by default | Copied by default | Copied by default | Only the V1 enterprise seniority date is copied. |
