Payroll Setup Tasks for transferring costs to General Ledger (GL)

  Overview

Payroll costing integrates payroll results with accounting by transferring costs to Subledger Accounting (SLA) and then to General Ledger (GL). Proper setup ensures accurate journal entries and reconciliation.

 1. Set Up Payroll Accounts

· Define payroll accounts aligned with GL account combinations.

· Best Practice:

Use the same chart of accounts structure as GL.

Match key segments (e.g., natural account for Cash) between Payroll and GL.

· Stage 2 (After reconciliation in Cash Management):

Accounting Date = Cleared Date


 Void Payments

· Accounting Date = Void Process Date
