Pre-requites to start working on Redwood - Oracle Fusion HCM



 1) First you need to enable the following Oracle Search profile options.

Setup and Maintenance -> Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task -> Enable below profile options



2) Run the process ESS job to create index definition and perform initial ingest to OSCS for each index 1 at a time for the index names indicated on the document.

Indexes:

• fa-hcm-acl

• fa-hcm-savedsearch

• fa-hcm-person

• fa-hcm-job

• fa-hcm-position

• fa-hcm-location

• fa-hcm-organization



3) Set Up Data Security for Oracle Search

- Compute Users ACL - For User Population All Users

- Compute Users ACL by Event - Schedule for every 15-60 mins

- Compute Users ACL - For User Population as Logged in users - Schedule for every 30-120 minutes

4) Steps to Enable the redwood Pages:

To use the Redwood pages, you must globally enable the Redwood pages using the Profile Value ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED.

To enable profile options, navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area:

1. Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.

2. Search for and select the profile option you are enabling from the table below.

3. Select the Level as Site.

4. Enter a Y in the Profile Value field.

5. Click Save and Close.
