How to run a BI Publisher report as an analysis?

Image
This document gives a step-be-step description of how to link a BI Publisher report to an analysis, which can then be used in an infolet. Step 1: obtain the url from your BI Publisher report. Navigate to the xmlpserver (main url of your environment followed by /xmlpserver) and run your report. Then go the options in the upper right hand corner, select Share Report Link, Document Only: Copy the url, but make sure you change the parameter xpt to 1.: Copy the resulting url into the following piece of HTML: <iframe src="YOURURL" height="600" width="980" FRAMEBORDER=NO /> Make sure you set the height and width to the values appropriate to your report. Also, the url as copied will look like https://POD.fa.em2.oraclecloud.com:443/xmlpserver/... This means that the environment is hard coded, and thus would give an issue after a P2T. To get around this, change the first part to ../../../xmlpserver/.. The ../ part means that the current url is taken,...

What Do the Dates Represent?

Legal Employer Service Dates relate to work relationships with a legal employer. The Legal Employer Start Or Hire Date is the start date of the work relationship. The Legal Employer Seniority Date is the date on which a person's legal employer service of a particular type (employee, contingent worker, or nonworker) is based. A person can have up to three legal employer seniority dates for a single legal employer. If you enter no date, the legal employer seniority date is assumed to be the start date of the work relationship. Enterprise Service Dates relate to a person's service with the enterprise rather than with individual legal employers. The Enterprise Start Or Hire Date is the start date of a person's first work relationship of this type (employee, contingent worker, or nonworker) in the enterprise. The Enterprise Seniority Date is the date on which a person's enterprise service is based. By default, the enterprise seniority date is the start date of the person...

Retroactive Pay - An Overview

Retroactive pay, also referred to as retropay, is the recalculation of prior payroll results when changes effective in prior payrolls are updated after the original payroll calculation. For example, when time cards are submitted after the cutoff, or an employee receives a performance bonus for a past pay period. Use the Recalculate Payroll for Retroactive Changes process (retropay process) to calculate retroactive pay changes. When you run the retropay process, it recalculates the employees' previous payroll periods, based on the unprocessed notifications raised.  It's important to decide when to enable an element for retropay. When you create your elements using the element template, enable the element to be subject to retroactive changes and select the retro event group. The retropay process includes these enabled elements in its calculations. Global Transfer and Payroll - an overview

Overview:  All transfers between legal employers are known as global transfers. During a global transfer, the application creates a work relationship and assignment under the new legal employer. The application terminates the existing work relationship and all assignments under it as of a day prior to the global transfer date. In this scenario, the application sets the Last Standard Earnings Date and Last Standard Process Date automatically, but you have to set the Final Close Date according to your requirements. Perform all the payroll actions before entering a Final Close Date because the application terminates the original assignment after you enter this date. For global transfers within the LDG, you can copy personal payroll data to the new payroll relationship and assignment.  Feature Description Payroll Relationship and Assignment attributes (Payroll Details) Attributes such as Payroll, Overtime Period, and Time Card are copied. These values default to the value from the...
